Sample 50 (an example web site home page)|
FreeForm can be used for creating web pages as well as content for eBay. In fact, EAPH.com hosting includes web site hosting and pages created in FreeForm can be published straight to that web space (no FTP required).
A site you create using FreeForm is under your full control. That's a blessing because you are not confined to prearranged layouts such as are typically required with e-commerce packages. You are free to make the most of each and every page you publish. It's also a curse because nothing is maintained for you automatically which makes using FreeForm impractical for large sites and/or those that constantly require adding and removing items.
Although you can include PayPal Shopping Cart buttons to use a site for selling, that doesn't mean you need to use it for selling directly. A web site may simply serve to give you a web presence in conjunction with your eBay (or other on and off line venue) selling efforts. As you can see with sample 49 (designed for use on eBay) it is possible using FreeForm to maintain the same look and feel between a web site and eBay pages. That's a big plus for promoting yourself or your business professionally.
Without having to be concerned with what or what not is allowed in eBay item descriptions a lot more becomes possible. Text can be used for links to category pages and, if you can construct pages so text size isn't critical, using as much text as you can is a good idea to help your pages be found through Search Engines.
''Surfs Up Fashions'' is a made up name as is the domain ''surfsupfashions.com'' I've linked to from this page. This sample is not meant to be used ''as is''. The hope is that you will be inspired by what is possible using FreeForm to lift your item descriptions and web pages up to the ''next level''. Rob will help you as needed with the technical aspects of using FreeForm and photo preparation. You just provide the ingredients - any custom graphics you can create or acquire, your color desires, etc.
