Notes: When using a layout like this for an eBay item description consider setting the overall width up in Global Features to 940 pixels. That is a good width to use with eBay's new selling page that is expected to go into effect early 2009. Also it will be wise to not use a full screen background as I've done with this sample.
I've pasted the code provided by Vendio.com for their free gallery into a Code Input Area below. Rather than have Auctiva, Vendio, or other third parties automatically add their galleries to your listings you can obtain the code for them from the services and put it where it fits better into your presentations. I like the Vendio one best because it allows the background color of the template to show through and around it.

About this sample...
This sample shows what can be done with a header image. A single image that spans the top of the presentation sets the theme for the page eliminating the need to use many additional graphics throughout. In this case only 4 images are involved: The header, 'Visit Our eBay Store' link, 'Add us to your...' link, and a background wallpaper image.
Templates produced by professionals typically require editing HTML with a text editor to use them. If you want to remove or add content you will be required to learn at least some HTML. If you want to re-arrange content you'll need to learn a great deal of HTML or go back to the designer for assistance.
Although FreeForm doesn't create graphics, it is like a swiss army knife tool for arranging / re-arranging them. I don't promise that it will be easy to create a layout like this, but at least FreeForm is written in English so you have a head start! Importantly, in the end you gain full and permanent control over the content you put into your presentations without having to mess with the HTML directly. No more depending on others.
For a layout like this, the first step is to design yourself or acquire the graphics, perhaps by purchasing a pre-made template then use those graphic ''ingredients'' to build the template in FreeForm. Rob has, on many occasions, helped with that fitting process so don't be afraid to ask for assistance.
Two columns work for this sample layout because photos are kept at about 563 pixels wide. If wider photos are required a narrower gallery (currently nested into the right column below) could be shown along one side or horizontally, the description could be placed in between the photos going down the page, followed by the Payment and Shipping and other sections at the bottom.

The trick to creating buttons is to create the one with the longest amount of text required, then create all the others to the exact same width and height. When using photos make them all the same size and reduce them to the exact size you will be displaying them.
